Medicines Optimisation - Long Term Conditions

Medicines Optimisation Event - Friday 22nd June 2012

NHS Midlands and East - East Midlands, staged a free-to-attend event titled 'Medicines Optimisation - Long Term Conditions' in Nottingham on Friday 22nd June 2012. 

The overall aims of the day were to:

  1. Review 2012-13 QIPP plans and align with national and regional priorities

  2. Identify what commissioning support you need, and what we can offer

  3. Review opportunities to optimise medicines in Long Term Conditions, using examples from Cardiovascular, Diabetes & Respiratory

 

The event was attended by over 20 people from around the East Midlands, with presentations and workshops delivered from four different presenters.

Disease Specific Prescribing Priorities

Deleagtes split into three groups for the workshops to discuss relevant prescribing priorities associated with Cardiovascular, Diabetes, and Respiratory. 

With each group led by the relevant network lead, the summary of the discussions and the diesease specific prescribing priorities for each area can be found below.
